Ernest E. Virtue

July 10, 1875 — January 1, 1753

Ernest E. Virtue, 64, well-known Randolph Township farmer, died Friday afternoon at his home near Guys Mills after an illness of several months.

One of the best known farmers in Crawford County, Mr. Virtue had a wide circle of friends.  He had lived his entire life on the family farm in Randolph Township.

For several years, he was a member of the Randolph Township school board and had served as board president.  He was a member of the Guys Mills Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Austa Oakes Virtue; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Minhinnick of Lawrence Park and Mrs. Melvin Carman of Venango; two sons, Walter of Kearsarge and Ivan at home; three sisters, Mrs. M. W. Rossell of Warren, PA, Mrs. I. R. Beiler and Mrs. W. C. Waid, both of Meadville; and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
