Estalene Dietle, 85, of Glenshaw, formerly of Jackson Center, passed away on May 31, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford, after a brief illness. Born on April 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Allen Lester and Gladys Edna (Bittner) Korns of Somerset County. On Nov. 22, 1952 she married Roy Emerson Dietle, who preceded her in death. Following Roy’s tour of duty in the Army, they made their home in rural Mercer County, where she dedicated her life and intellect to being an exemplary housewife, mother, neighbor, and church member. Some of Estalene’s passions in life were sewing, cooking, gardening, landscaping, service to the church, traveling with her husband and their friends, and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Estalene was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church in Jackson Center for over 50 years. She is survived by a son Lannie Dietle and wife Cheryl, a daughter Dana Moore and husband Dale, four grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 1 pm until 3 pm on Monday, June 4, 2018. A funeral service will take place following visitation at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Janet R. Pratt and Pastor Judy Winston Thomas, Officiating. Interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Estalene’s name to Vincent United Methodist Church, Methodists United in Faith, 32 Lake Street, Stoneboro, PA 16153.
