Estella A. Freeauf

Estella A. Freeauf, 94, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a resident of Wesbury U.M. Community, passed away there Friday, October 6, 2017. She was born July 3, 1923 in Turtle Creek, a daughter of John J. and Daisy Irma Griffith Roethlisberger. She married Edward J. (Buzz) Freeauf, Jr. September 6, 1952 and he preceded her in death June 5, 2007. Estella was a 1948 graduate of Passavant Hospital School of Nursing where she received her Registered Nurses degree. She worked as a registered nurse and was also a homemaker. Estella had attended the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, was a former board member of the Crawford County Humane Society, and former member of the Lakeland Grange. Survivors include a nephew, John Cammack of Florida and a great-niece, Melanie Cammack-Whatley of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Cammack and a nephew, Robert Cammack. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. in the Barco Chapel of Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville where the funeral and committal service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ralph Egyud officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Rd., Meadville, PA 16335.
