Esther Elizabeth Ehrgott

Esther Elizabeth Ehrgott, 95, formerly of Mercer Pike, Meadville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community since 1992, died there Tuesday, December 07, 2004.

She was born August 12, 1909 in Cranesville, a daughter of the late Tracy and Lydia Joslyn Kiser.  She married LeRoy G. Ehrgott July 2, 1927 and he preceded her in death April 19, 1996.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School.  She was a self-employed farmer with her husband for 27 years and worked previously at Talon for 17 years.  She was also the Union Township tax collector for 24 years.

She was a member of St. John’s Community Church of God.

Survivors include 6 nieces, Marian Braymer of Saegertown; Helen Ohle of Greenville; and Joan Smith, Janet Bean, Delores White, and Linda Kiser, all of Meadville; and 4 nephews, Paul and Lynn Ehrgott, both of Meadville; Larry Kiser of Spokane, WA and Dave Kiser, of Branson, MO.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood E. Kiser and Ellis L. Kiser.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Pastor James Huselton, Pastor of St. John’s Community Church of God, officiating.

Burial will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
