Mrs. Ethel Peter, 91, who had resided at the Presbyterian Home, Cambridge Springs, since 1971, died at City Hospital late Friday evening, June 28, 1974, after a short illness.
She was born in Hayfield Township, May 14, 1883, a daughter of Seldon M. and Cornelia Foreman Scoville. She was the widow of Raymond E. Peters who died in 1943. Mrs. Peters was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer and was a charter member of Mead Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Aux. to the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James C. (Kathryn) Hamilton and Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Gepner, both of Meadville; a brother, Glenn Scoville of Erie; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
