Ethel V. Klingensmith

Ethel V. Klingensmith, 93, of Meadville, died Thursday, August 24, 1989, at Wesbury United Methodist Community following a period of failing health.

She was born in Troutville, Clearfield County, April 29, 1896, a daughter of Malvern and Ella Graffius Curry.  She married H. Earl Reynolds.  He preceded her in death.  She subsequently married LeRoy Klingensmith.  He preceded her in death.

She was employed by the former Merchants Bank and Trust Co. for eight years.  She then was employed as executive secertary for the Crawford County Unit of the American Cancer Society for five years.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.  She was a 1919 graduate of Allegheny College and member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority; charter member, Meadville Woman's Club; and member, Philo-Mathesian Literary Club, LAC of former City Hospital and Allegheny Alumni Council for several years.

Survivors include a son, H. Robert Reynolds of Ann Arbor, MI; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Isherwood of Meadville; a niece and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
