Ethel Warp

Ethel (Fran) Warp, 83, of Blooming Valley, died Tuesday, January 1, 1991, at Crawford County Care Center. She was born in Athens Township on June 16, 1907, a daughter of John H. and Fernia Childs Childs. She married Alston O. Warp on June 26, 1929. He preceded her in death June 9, 1973. She had worked briefly for Talon and was retired from the housekeeping department of the former Flickinger's Convalescent Home. She was a member of the Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the senior Sunday School class, and member of the Senior Citizens of Blooming Valley. She was a graduate of Townville High School. Survivors include one nephew, Karl Behringer of Pleasantville; five nieces, Fern Childs of Centerville, Edna May Gustafson of Conneaut, OH, Gloria Baker of Titusville, Olivia Purchase of McKean, and Vivian Childs of Erie. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Behringer and three brothers, Harold, Victor and Floyd Childs. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
