Ethel Woge Ellis, 80, formerly of Leavittsburg, OH and current resident of Beverly Health Care Meadville since April 25, 1999, died there Saturday, August 14, 1999.
She was born March 20, 1919 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Max E. and Ethel Waldo Woge. She married Mark E. Ellis and he preceded her in death June 3, 1977.
She was a homemaker who had attended Meadville schools. She loved the great outdoors and gardening. She specialized in growing many varieties of roses, lillies, passion flower, night blooming cereus, cacti plants, common flowers and unusual trees and shrubs.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include a brother, Waldo E. Woge of Carlton; a sister, Thelma Wolford of Meadville; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends and caretakers. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph H., Rudolph W., Marvin M. and Lester M. Woge.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
