Mrs. Etta Snodgrass Ackert, 84, of 550 Lord St., died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 1961, while visiting a daughter in Erie, Mrs. Rolf (Elizabeth) Asmussen.
Mrs. Ackert was born in Vernon Township October 31, 1876, a daughter of Matthew and Mary Mallory Snodgrass. She was the widow of Arthur D. Ackert, whom she married December 31, 1902.
Surviving, besides the daughter Elizabeth, are four other daughters: Miss Alice Ackert, librarian at Meadville Public Library, Mrs. Harold (Marjorie) Fenton of Meadville, Mrs. Ralph E. (Florence) Shaw of Torrence, CA., and Mrs. W. Derrick (Ardeth) Johnston of Erie; two sons, Richard Denzel Ackert of Vernon Township and Charles A. of Irvington, NJ; a sister, Mrs. A.J. (Florence) Norden of Los Angeles; a brother, C.L. Snodgrass of Leleone Springs, FL.; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at the Waid Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
