Mrs. Eva Mae Tingley, 69, of Meadville, widow of Floyd H. Tingley, died at City Hospital Wednesday, March 8, 1978, after an illness of several months.
Born in Rouseville, Venango County, on April 8, 1908, she was a daughter of McClelland M. and Ella Rogers. She married Tingley on March 27, 1937. He died in 1970.
Mrs. Tingley was last employed in the Post Office at Allegheny College. She previously had been employed in the Crawford County Extension Office, Talon Division of Textron, Inc., and Avtex Fibers. She was a member and past worthy high priestess of Trinity Shrine, White Shrine of Jerusalem; past royal matron and past royal patron of the Order of the Amaranth, former state representative from Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star to the Eastern Star, and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald F. of Delaware, OH and John R. of Oil City; two sisters, Mrs. Malcolm (Virginia) Stewart of Meadville and Mrs. Edward (Vera) Daniels of Titusville; two brothers, Edward M. Rogers and Homer Rogers, both of Cooperstown and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
