Evelyn F. Shilling

Evelyn F. Shilling, 74, of 6983 Shilling Road, Meadville, died Friday Aug. 17, 2001 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Fredericksburg, Sept. 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Harry A. Fry & Ora (Smeltzer) Fry Williams.

She was a 1946 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School and had attended Erie Commercial College.  She had been employed at Spectrum Control, Saegertown for 12 years, and later worked for Faivre Machine & Fabrication of Meadville.

She was of the Protestant Faith and enjoyed her family, especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Gilleland and her husband Michael of Cartersville, GA and Brenda Mulchin and her husband Randy of Meadville; 3 grandchildren, Jacob & Jared Gilleland and Bree Shilling; 1 step-grandson, Sasha Mulchin; 5 sisters, Anita Swift, and Leora James and her husband Robert all of Meadville, Shirley Hager and her husband Wilbur of Marden, Conn., Elsamae Bundy and her husband Charles of Cambridge Springs, Roberta Bancroft and her husband George of Centerville; 5 brothers, Harry Fry and his wife Joann of Tenn., Glenn Fry and his wife Lois of Texas, Charles Fry of Miss., Carl Fry of Ill., and Wayne Fry of Telford, PA.  She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Merle Fry.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville

A funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Ferraro, Pastor of First Church of God officiating.

Burial will be in Huber Cemetery, Union Twp.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Crawford Unit, 464 Pine St. Meadville, PA l6335 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
