Evelyn M. Dye, 93 of Jackson Center, passed away on June 1, 2024 at AHN Wexford. Evelyn was born in Grove City on July 30, 1930 to the late Joshua Monte and Ethel Ion (Baker) Truran. She was a graduate of Grove City High School. She worked for many years at Howe’s in Grove City and then Magnetics in Sandy Lake.
Evelyn was a member of Jackson Center Presbyterian Church. She was an avid Steeler and Pirates fan and enjoyed watching sports of any kind. She was a coach for girls’ softball and the church softball league for several years. She enjoyed traveling and most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Evelyn married her beloved husband: Thomas E. Dye in 1951, he preceded her in death in 2021.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Barbara Dye of Jackson Center and Timothy (Bonnie) Dye of Kennerdell, grandchildren: Tammie (Rob) Grant, Bill (Susan) Marsh, Michael Marsh, Kelly Dye, and Eric (Britanee) Dye, great-grandchildren: Christopher, Natalie, Mackenzie, Destiny, Jared, Kaitlyn, and Remington, five great-great-grandchildren, and a niece: Connie Truran.
In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother: Monte Truran, and her nephew: Monte Truran, Jr.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose And Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
Interment will take place in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
