Evelyn M. Hardenburg

Evelyn M. Hardenburg, 89, of Meadville (Vernon Township), passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at UPMC Hamot.

She was born October 9, 1928 in Spring Creek Township, Warren County, a daughter of Ralph W. and Clella Bacon Nichols.  She married Howard Earl Saul, Jr. and he preceded her in death.  She subsequently married Andrew J. (Jack) Hardenburg, Jr. April 21, 1978 and he survives.

Evelyn had been employed at the former W.T. Grant Store in Meadville and Vernon Township and at Meadville Medical Center for 24 ½ years.  She was a member of Watson Run Church of God.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Jack, include a daughter, Sandi L. Watkins of Conneaut Lake; two stepsons, John R. and Thomas W. Hardenburg; a brother, Richard W. Nichols (Gladys) of Meadville; a sister, Lila Holabaugh of Meadville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Earl Steven Saul; four brothers, Paul, Pearl, Herman, and Clarence Nichols and two sisters, Ida Pfeiffer and Vera.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 19th from 12 to 2 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Hough, Pastor of Watson Run Church of God, officiating.

Interment will be in Watson Run Cemetery.
