Evelyn M. Haynes

Evelyn M. Haynes, 76, of Guys Mills, a former Richmond Township tax collector, died Friday, December 20, 1991, at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie.

She was born in Atlantic City, NJ, October 3, 1915, a daughter of William S. and Reba Maxwell Hartley.  She married Frederic W. Haynes in 1935.  He preceded her in death July 6, 1980.

She was the tax collector for Richmond Township for 26 years.  She assisted her husband in his wool growing and Christmas tree business.  She attended New Richmond United Methodist Church.  She graduated from Atlantic City Public Schools.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Charles (Anne) Walter of Pleasantville, NJ; a brother, Williams S. Hartley of Somers Point, NJ and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lyona Cemetery.
