Evelyn M. Mckay

Evelyn M. McKay, 85, formerly of 625 Church Street, Meadville and a resident of Faith Builders Personal Care Home, Guys Mills, PA for the past 11 years died Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Beverly Health Care Shippenville, PA.

She was born in Meadville October 15, 1919 a daughter of Ernest Lloyd and Elda M. DeMaison McKay.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School and many years ago she worked for a short time as a receptionist at the Mead Inn.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She loved music and was an opera enthusiast; she was the family historian and was very talented in needlework.  She loved life, children and animals.

Survivors, include: three nieces, Clarice Fellenberger of Ann Arbor, MI, Elaine Sanch of Ann Arbor, MI and Marilyn Shea of Tecumseh, MI and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest C. McKay and Martin McKay.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 12 – 3 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA.  The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
