Evelyn M. Virtue

Mrs. Evelyn M. Virtue, 62, of Saegertown, died at St. Vincents' Hospital, Erie, Friday, August 29, 1969, after a one-year illness.

She was born in Erie County, a daughter of Mrs. Neila Killifer Richardson, February 6, 1907.  She married J. Walter Virtue April 28, 1930.  She was employed in the sewing department of Talon Division of Textron for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Meadville, a teacher of the Ladies' Bible Class and a member of the church Ladies' Prayer Band.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Janet E.) Smith of Blooming Valley; one son, James N. Virtue of Hollstead; two sisters, Mrs. George (Bernice) Gray and Mrs. Neila Todd, both of Erie; one aunt, Miss Bessie Killifer of Erie; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
