Evelyn P. Altenburg

Evelyn P. Altenburg, 88, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a current resident of Hudson, FL, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at her residence.

She was born December 26, 1920 in Sandy Lake, a daughter of the late Ralph and Adda Guiler Patton.

She was employed as a tax collector in Conneaut Lake and was formerly affiliated with Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake.  She was a member of the Pennsylvania Club, Hudson, FL.

She is survived by her husband Kermit of Hudson, FL; 2 sons, Daniel Altenburg of Brandon, FL and Kermit E. Altenburg of Hudson, FL; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kerma Lea Altenburg and a son, David R. Altenburg.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Brumagin, Associate Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
