Evelyn P. Fenton

Evelyn P. (Evie) Fenton, 70 of Meadville passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at home surrounded by her family following an extended illness. Evie was born December 10, 1949 in Geneva, PA a daughter of Glenn and Patricia Hamilton Armour. She married Leonard L. (Lenny) Fenton May 5, 1989 and he survives. She worked at Talon Inc. and upon its closure; she returned to college to acquire her associates degree and enjoyed many years working for Dr. Raymond Bridge in Conneaut Lake until his retirement. Evie continued working in the health care field eventually retiring from Highmark Insurance in Erie in 2008. Her greatest joys were spending time with her best friend and husband, Lenny, and all her family and friends. Her interests included golfing, reading, socializing with friends, morning Senior Ladies League at Hailwood golf course and her annual getaways to Okaloosa Island in Florida. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Lenny, include three daughters, Wendy Gum (Steven) of Cochranton, Tina Kirvaitis (Tom) of Chicago, IL and Patti Capron (Matt) of Townville; a brother, Gary Armour (Pam) of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren, Jaron and Amber Williams, Steven Gum, Matthew Gum, Cody and Andrea Peterson and Charlotte Kirvaitis; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 14th from 1-4 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 12664 State Route 19 S, Waterford, PA 16441.
