Evelyn S. Hickman

Mrs. Evelyn S. Hickman, 70, of Marienville, Forest County, formerly of Union Township, widow of Earl C. Hickman, died at Titusville Hospital Wednesday, February 6, 1980, following an extended illness.

She was born in Union Township, December 11, 1909, daughter of Frank A. and Della Mangus Smock, Sr.  She married Hickman in 1930 and he died in 1969.

Mrs. Hickman worked as site supervisor for the Forest County Nutritional Program for the Elderly.  She was a member of the Marienville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Aux. and the Marienville Volunteer Fire Department Aux.

Mrs. Hickman is survived by a son, Ralph E. of Guys Mills; a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Hendershot of Cleveland; two brothers, Ralph A. and Robert L. Smock of Meadville; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Smock, Jr.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Union Township.
