Evelyn Winton, 84, of Guys Mills, a former secretary, died Tuesday, June 30, 1992, at Springs Manor, Cambridge Springs, following an extended illness.
She was born in Lincolnville, August 30, 1907, a daughter of Ross and Lila Skiff Doutt. She married James B. (Ben) Winton, May 16, 1928. He preceded her in death May 10, 1982.
She was the former secretary of Richmond Township for 45 years and also a secretary for the Lyon's Cemetery Assn. for 56 years. She was a 4-H leader for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Vera Parker of Guys Mills and Sandra Clark of New Wilmington; a sister, Fay Perry of St. Charles, MO; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Stanley Winton and two brothers, George Doutt and Howard Doutt.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Lyon's Cemetery, Lyona.
