Evron L. Householder, 92, of Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at home following a long battle with cancer.
He was born October 15, 1922 in Dennison, Ohio, a son of the late E. Roy and Edna Hardwidge Householder. He married the former Leona M. Wallace November 3, 1942 and she preceded him in death February 19, 2007.
Evron worked at the Meadville Forging Company for 45 years and had also operated a dairy farm in Woodcock Township with his two brothers.
A member of Wayland Baptist Church, Evron was also a member of the Steelworkers Union, the PA State Grange, and the Hayfield Grange for over 64 years. He was a hard worker, devoted to his family, and enjoyed farming and caring for animals. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include two sons, Gary and Dennis Householder, both of Saegertown; four daughters, Patricia Huson and her husband Richard of Saegertown, Barbara Goza and her husband Granville of Saegertown, Linda Householder of Tionesta, and Debra Phelps and her husband Ronald of Meadville; three sisters, Kaye Smyles of Florida and Jeanette Hunt and Shirley Stevenson, both of Meadville; thirteen grandchildren, Keith, Trisha, and Scott Huson, Granville Goza, IV, Jeffery and Cheryl Goza, Eric, Brock, Ty, and Troy Householder, James Wolfgang, Stacey Darling, and Evron Wolfgang; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Lake and Edgar Householder; two sisters, Edna Kebert and Isabelle Hunter; a great-granddaughter, Audreanna Albaugh; and two great-grandsons, Eric J. and Kirklyn Householder.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Daniel Howell of Wayland Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
