F. Omer Boyer

F. Omer Boyer, 71, a former Meadville resident, now of Erie, died May 24, 1980 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, after an extended illness.

He was born at St. Marys, Elk County, on October 13, 1908, a son of Charles W. and Mollie Crug Boyer.  He married Martha (Marcy) Darrin on December 14, 1935.

He was formerly a partner in the owning and operation of Airway Drive-In, Meadville, for 1949-69.  He also was formerly the owner of Boyer's Meat Market in Erie and was formerly paymaster at Erie Resistor Co.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Judith A.) Jones of Meadville; a brother, Charles Boyer of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
