Florence E. Kibler, 81, of 2228 Hurt Dr., Rocky Mount, NC and formerly of 1929 Lynne Ave., Rocky Mount and formerly of Meadville, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at Guardian Care of Rocky Mount.
She was born in Youngstown, OH December 12, 1926, a daughter of the late John and Mary Evans Alcook. She married Fred H. Kibler and he survives.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School, was a homemaker, and had worked in production at the American Viscose for 22 years.
She was a former member of the First Baptist Church, Meadville and had been a member of its choir. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and in area talent shows.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Fred, include a son, Dennis Kibler and his wife Lois of Jamestown, NY; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Pattison of Rochester, NY and Jeffrey Kibler of Ballston Lake, NY; a great-granddaughter, Claire Pattison; and 1 niece and 1 nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald Kibler and a brother, Jack Alcook.
Private services will be Thursday at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with the Rev. Gerald Walton, Pastor of First Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 353 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335.
