Florence E. Mccleery

Florence E. McCleery, 91, of Meadville, died Monday, October 19, 1998 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of failing health.

She was born August 22, 1907 in East Mead Township,  a daughter of the late George W. and Emma Stork Smith.  She married Louis S. McCleery September 1, 1941, and he preceded her in death January 16, 1992.

She was a graduate of Blooming Valley High School and had worked at Talon as a machine operator and quick repair operator for 14 years.  She had also been employed at the Children's Shop; White's Millinery and retired from the Stockton Shop.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and its Christian Workers Sunday School Class.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Clinton, William and Woodrow Smith; half-brother, Stanley Smith and a sister, Dora E. Miller.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
