Florence L. Young

Florence L. Young, 67, of Guys Mills, a homemaker, died Sunday, September 29, 1991, at her residence following a period of failing health.

She was born in Randolph Township, Crawford County, November 16, 1923, a daughter of Floyd and Florence Sperry Peterson.  She married Ray R. Young, November 27, 1942.  He preceded her in death February 3, 1990.

She was a homemaker and a graduate of Randolph High School.

Survivors include seven sons, Thomas R. of Black Ash, Robert E. and William A. of Meadville, Gary A. and Philip M. of Guys Mills, Christopher H. of Clarion and Stephen B. of Winchester, VA; a sister, Mrs. James (Nellie) Callahan of Meadville; two brothers, Ted Peterson of Yucaipa, CA and Floyd Peterson of Union City; seventeen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several half-brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Peterson.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
