Florence M. Kerr

Florence M. Kerr, 91, a resident of Wesbury Unite Methodist Community, died at her residence Friday, November 29, 1996 following an extended illness.

She was born May 8, 1905 in Parker, a daughter of the late Burton and Birdie Sloan McCall.  She married Norwood W. Kerr on June 20, 1939.  He preceded her in death on July 7, 1983.

Mrs. Kerr was a 1928 graduate to Clarion State College.  She taught first grade for thirty-seven years at first and second district schools.  She was a former member of the Meadville Women's Club and Thesaurus Literary Club.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and its Women's Class.

Survivors include nephews and three nieces.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Burton McCall, Jr., Raymond and John McCall.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
