Florence R. Haas

Florence R. Haas, 66, of Conneautville, died Monday, April 26, 1999, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

She was born in Meadville, December 28, 1932, a daughter of Henry V. and Georgia Nigh Luke.  She married Herbert O. Haas, November 2, 1953.  He preceded him in death June 21, 1998.

She was one of the founders of and co-owner of the Area Shopper, Conneautville, and Haas & Orr Advertising and Printing of Mercer.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She was a member of Conneautville American Legion Post 615 Aux.

She enjoyed garage sales and was very active with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Jessie H. Haas (Lorie) of Conneautville; two daughters, Debbie Gabel of Conneautville and Mrs. Elaine (Luke) Miller of Sheakleyville; seven grandchildren, Solomon, Jessica, Jamie, Cory, Shawn, Gabel, Evan and Brent; a sister, Shirley Bernhardt of Shalimer, FL; a brother, Richard Luke of Conneautville and an uncle, Art Nigh of Conneautville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
