Florence V. Miller

Florence V. Miller, 93, of Meadville, died Tuesday, December 2, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Community following a period of declining health.

She was born June 25, 1922 in Belleville, NJ, a daughter of Ellsworth and Anah Hutton Crafferty.  She married James L. Miller February 1, 1962 and he survives.

Florence worked at Weldon’s in Meadville and previously at the Mayfair Store and was owner and operator of Flo Miller’s Clothing Store.

She attended St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, was very fond of Meadville, and enjoyed reading, sewing, playing cards, and especially being with her family.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Jim of 53 years, include two daughters, Susan MacBlain of Tidioute and Mary Byers and her husband Daniel of Guys Mills; five grandchildren, Tyler, Heather, James, Justin, and Erin; three great-grandchildren, Devin, Heaven, and Shane; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and William Crafferty.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Johnathan P. Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
