Frances B. Sleppy

June 12, 1890 — September 24, 1977

Mrs. Frances B. Sleppy, 87, who resided at the United Methodist Nursing Home, died at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital Saturday, September 24, 1977, after a long illness.

Born in Edinburgh, Lawrence County, June 12, 1890, she was a daughter of Richard A. and Anna Wheitz Buzza.  On December 28, 1910, she married the Rev. David D. Sleppy who died in 1932.  Mrs. Sleppy was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, a graduate of Alden Academy and PA College of Music, a 50-year-member of Rose Chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Conneaut, OH; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Aux. and a charter member of the Navy Mothers Club.

Survivors include two sons, David D. Sleppy, Jr. of Meadville and William C. Sleppy, III of Cornwells Heights; a sister, Mrs. J. Vincent (Dorothea) Magner of Sharon; a half sister, Mrs. Nelson (Mary) Wallace of Meadville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
