Frances B. Steele

Frances B. Steele, 73, of Meadville, died Saturday, October 15, 1994, at Meadville Medical Center, following a sudden illness at home.

She was born August 22, 1921, in Guys Mills, a daughter of Frank and Laura Murdock Britton.  She married Kenneth E. Steele January 18, 1942.  He survives.

She was a homemaker and worked at the American Viscose for a brief  period.  She was a member of the Kerrtown Senior Citizens as well as former member of the Cootietts and VFW Aux.  In addition, she was an active bowler for many years.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Sandra) Wentworth, Linda Marie Welsh and Carol Ann Steele, all of Meadville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one cousin.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
