Frances Brandon Graham

July 1, 1902 — June 14, 1998

Frances Brandon Graham, 95, formerly of Butler and a resident of Cribbs Home, Wesbury United Methodist Community since May 15, 1987, died at her residence Sunday, June 14, 1998 following a period of declining health.

She was born in a small house next to her grandfather's residence on July 1, 1902 in Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, a daughter of the late William Sherman and Maybelle Lotz Brandon.  She married Victor Vade Graham August 28, 1920.  He preceded her in death October 1, 1982.

Mrs. Graham was a graduate of Butler public schools.  She was a homemaker.  She was a 35 year volunteer and past head of volunteer at the Deshon V.A. Medical Center of Butler; member and past president of Butler Women's Club; member of Maquetta Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; member of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Butler, member of the Butler chapter of the American Red Cross since 1919; and member of the Butler YWCA for many years.  She enjoyed knitting, crafts, games and music.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Butler and member and past president of its United Methodist Women.  She had served on the church's administrative board.

Survivors include a son, Rev. Raymond (Pete) Graham of Bradford; five grandchildren, Kathleen Graham Haiser of Bay City, MI, Rick Graham of Rochester Hills MI, Craig C. Graham of San Diego, CA, Dr. Nathaniel Graham of Bradford and Dr. Elise Graham of Megehee of Bloomfield, NJ; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard V. Graham; two sisters, Dorothy Brandon Barney and Ruth B. Hall; and a half-brother, William S. Brandon, Jr.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
