Frances Flaugh Peterson, 91, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since 1983, died at her residence Wednesday, July 15, 1998 following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 6, 1907 in East Fairfield Township, Crawford County, a daughter of the late Fred E. and Amy Freyermuth Flaugh. She married Harold Berry June 8, 1927. She subsequently married Raymond Peterson July 14, 1980. He preceded her in death August 29, 1983.
Mrs. Peterson was a 1925 graduate of Meadville High School. She worked for several years in production at Talon. She subsequently worked for several years as a secretary for the Crawford Co. Agricultural Soil and Water Conservation District.
She was of the Protestant faith and was a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Meadville and the United Church of Christ, Akron, OH.
Survivors include a son, Earle D. Berry (Jean) of Muskegon, MI; three grandchildren, Donald Berry of Sisters, OR, Douglas Berry of Murfreesboro, TN and Linda Berry Kane of Muckegon, MI; a sister, Freda Aley of Greenville and a brother, Frederick Merle Flaugh of Los Angeles, CA.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Berry and a sister, Sara Flaugh.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
