Frances Mcnutt Cotton

February 12, 1865 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Frances McNutt Cotton, 86, first woman to be elected master of Vernon Grange, died Monday, evening at her home in Vernon Township, following a six years' illness.  She was widow of Alfred B. Cotton.

Mrs. Cotton was a member of the Meadville First Presbyterian Church and the Womens Missionary Society and Priscilla Class of the church.

Surviving are three daughters, Miss Beatrice Cotton and Miss Genevieve Cotton, both at home, and Miss Mabel Bernadine Cotton of Erie; four sons, Alfred M. Cotton of Conneaut Lake, Joseph at home, Frederic J. Cotton of Titusville and Francis R. Cotton of Saegertown; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was a sister of the late Albert E. McNutt of Espyville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
