Frances Minnis

Frances Minnis, 84, of Meadville, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of two years.

She was born in Greenwood Township, January 26, 1917, a daughter of Oliver and Caroline DeArment Leavy.  She married Clark R. Minnis October 26, 1940 and he preceded her in death April 6, 1980.

She was a homemaker and she worked at Miller's Shoes for 12 years.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors, include a son, Richard Minnis (Miriam) of Warren, PA; two daughters, Phyllis Cline (John) of Oak Park, IL and Mary Lee Minnis of Meadville; a sister, Ruth Smith of Greenville; four grandchildren, Glenn Minnis, Veronica Winslow, Jonathan Cline and Matthew Cline and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cecile Leavy.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greenfield Cemetery.
