Frances Werner Wallis

Mrs. Frances Werner Wallis, 57, wife of Louis Wallis, of Guys Mills, died at her home Monday, November 17, 1958.

She was born in Glassport, a daughter of Alfonso and Sarah Catherine Smith Werner.

She spent most of her life in Ohio and became a resident in Crawford County five years ago.  She was past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1040 Aux., Bedford, OH, and was an organizer of the canteen in Bedford during World War II.

Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Bissell of Guys Mills; two sons, William and James at home; her stepmother, Mrs. Ella Werner of McKeesport; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Hamilton of Clairton and Mrs. Milton Baker of McKeesport; two brothers, Henry Werner of Woodsfield, OH and Frank Werner of Guys Mills; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Guys Mills Cemetery.
