Francis C. Bertram, 88, of Little Cooley, died Saturday, March 19, 1966, at Smith Institute, Saegertown, where he had lived for three years.
He was born near Cambridge Springs November 27, 1877, a son of Charles H. and Anna Robbins Bertram, and married Donna Navey October 18, 1899. She died in 1951.
In 1956, Mr. Bertram married Ruth M. Gamble, who survives.
He farmed in Richmond Township for a number of years before moving to Mayville, NY, where he was employed in manufacturing. He was a member of Congregational Church in Portland, NY.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Harold T. (Marjorie) Smith, Mrs. Carlos R. (Helen) Boss, Mrs. Leland V. (Lucille) Waid, Mrs. G. Harold (Gertrude) Miller, and Mrs. Robert A. (Grace) Hilder; a son, John C. Bertram; a sister, Mrs. Georgie Kepler; three stepsons, Morse Walker, Wallace Walker and Byron Walker; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
