Frank A. Bossard, 84, widely-known local drayman, died early Friday, January 25, 1952 at the Wayside Inn, an I.O.O.F. home for the aged, Grove City, where he had resided only a week.
A son of the late Andrew and Sarah Betts Bossard, he had been associated with his father in the trucking business here, later forming a partnership with his son, Winfred. This firm, still operating at Arch Street, is known as Frank A. Bossard & Son.
He was a member of Stone Methodist Church, Cussewago IOOF Lodge, and Knights of the Macabees. Last year Mr. Bossard received a 50 year pin from the Odd Fellows. He was a past noble grand.
Surviving him are: two daughters, Mrs. James V. Scowden of Meadville and Mrs. Clyde Kyle of Conneaut Lake; the son, Winfred of Meadville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Laver of Meadville and a brother, Fred, also of Meadville.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
