Frank W. Childs

May 28, 1905 — April 8, 1956

Frank W. Childs, 50, of Guys Mills, died Sunday at his home after many years of illness.

A son of Clyde and Mary Flint Childs, he lived his entire life in Randolph Township where he was born.  He attended public schools in Randolph Township.

In 1926, he married Alice Salmon of Centerville.

He attended the Rahe Automobile and Tractor School at Cincinnati, OH, in 1922, and then opened a garage in Guys Mills.  He continued in business despite poor health and also managed a household moving and general trucking business.  He firm also manufactured logging arches for shipment all over the US.

He was a member of Guys Mills Methodist Church, Randolph Grange and the Randolph Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Cecile Stewart of New Castle, Mrs. Lucile Stallard of Guys Mills and Marilyn, at home; a son, Norman Clyde Childs at home; his mother; a sister, Mrs. Raymond Skiff; a brother, Willard, all of Guys Mills; and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
