Frank E. Martin

Frank E. Martin, 59, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Meadville, August 23, 1943 a son of Steve and Vyola Sipps Martin.  He married Dawn Zimmerman September 13, 1980 and she survives.

He retired in 1991 after 27 years of service with the Meadville Police Department.  He was a 1962 graduate of St. Agatha High School and he served in Korea from 196301966 with the US Army.  He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church and he was a member of FOP Lodge #97 Meadville.  He was an avid trapper and a lifetime member of the PA Trappers Assn., National Trappers Assn. and the Fur Trappers Assn.  He also was a licensed Wildlife Pest Control Agent.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sisters, Terry Baker of Meadville, Nancy Addison of Ravenna, OH and Mary Jo Altenburg of Meadville; a brother, John Martin of Meadville; three stepdaughters, Debbie Rydbom of Meadville, Dottie Gratter of Meadville and Tammy Horkay of Carmel, IN and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Martin.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery.
