Frank E. Walter

May 18, 1873 — January 1, 1753

Frank E. Walter, 81, of Meadville, died Wednesday morning at City Hospital after a period of failing health.

Born in Wayne Township, he spent most of his life in the Black Ash community, where he was engaged in farming, and moved to Meadville in 1945.  He was employed on the maintenance staff at Allegheny College for seven years, retiring two years ago.

Mr. Walter was a member of the Black Ash Methodist Church and of Meadville Grange.

He is survived by his widow, Blanche; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Byham of Cuba, NY and Mrs. Myron Bogardus of Meadville; a son, Glenn J. of Wesleyville; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
