Frank M. Hamilton

Frank M. Hamilton, 59, of Meadville, died Wednesday, March 7, 1984, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, following a brief illness.

He was born August 22, 1924, in Cool Springs Township, Mercer County, a son of John A. and Margaret Elizabeth Clinefelter Hamilton, Sr.  He married Florence Courson February 14, 1948.

Hamilton was affiliated with Grace United Methodist Church.

He was employed by Conrail for 35 years, last working as a clerk.  A member of Brotherhood of Railway, Airline and Steamship Clerks union, he also was a member of Crawford Masonic Lodge 234; Scottish Rite Bodies of Erie; Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Erie; Crawford County Motor Patrol; Crawford County Shrine Club; Elks Lodge 219, Meadville, and Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a United State Army veteran, serving in Europe during World War II.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Philip (Jacqueline) Colbert and Miss Cheryle Hamilton, both of Meadville; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Rebecca) Blair of Mercer, Mrs. M. Jeanne Naddeo of Meadville and Mrs. Clarence (Eleanor) Kiter, Jr. of Cochranton; two brothers, John A. Jr. of Cochranton and Robert E. of Orlando, FL; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one sister and one brother.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
