Frank Richard Musser

Frank R. Musser, 76 of Stoneboro, passed away at 6:45 pm on August 22, 2018 at Countryside Nursing Home in Mercer. Frank was born on January 29, 1942 at home in Porter Twp, New Bethlehem, Clarion County, PA to the late Arthur C. and Orpha E. Doverspike Musser. Frank graduated from Redbank Valley High School and went on to receive his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Agriculture from Pennsylvania State University. He then went on to teach Agriculture in Indiana, PA and Cochranton, PA. After teaching Frank worked as a salesman for Agway, Anderson, Atlantic Feed & Grain, Furst-McNess, and Lakeview Fertilizer. Frank was a member of the Methodists United in Faith. Frank not only loved his job, it was his life. After work he would come home and tend to his gardens. He has many berry bushes and constantly fight the birds to protect the berries. He loved to cook and was the cook at the Lakeview Fertilizer Pancake breakfast for 25 years. He also enjoyed sports especially the Erie Seawolves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Penguins, and Penn State. He also enjoyed fishing with his sons and keeping track of the stock market. Frank is survived by his sons, David Musser and wife Jill of State College, John Musser of Erie, Brothers Bill Musser and wife Nancy of Cochranton, Charles Musser, and Bob Musser and wife Paula, both of New Bethlehem, grandchildren Veronica and Nathan Musser, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Reba Musser. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 3-6 pm on Sunday, August 26. A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 6 pm with the Reverend Sally Bell, Associate Pastor of Methodists United in Faith, officiating. Interment will take place in Leatherwood Cemetery, New Bethlehem, Clarion County, PA, on Monday, August 27, at 10:00 AM. In leui of flowers, donations may be made to Leatherwood Church or Leatherwood Cemetery, both at 889 Church Road, New Bethlehem, PA 16242.
