Frank T. Swavey, 90, of Meadville, a retired welder, died Thursday, January 6, 1994, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Union Township, January 22, 1903, a son of Adam and Emma Hogue Swavey. He married G. Audene Crawford, December 21, 1922. She survives.
He was retired as a welder from Erie-Lackawanna Raildroad after 46 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where he was a former church deacon. He was a former member of West Mead and Vernon vounteer fire departments. He had been an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Helen) Jeannerett and Mrs. Gary (Pennie) Conrad, both of Meadville; two sons, Richard F. Swavey of Meadville and Bernard D. Swavey of Erie; eighteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Rouchey and Anna Hunter, both of Meadville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Russell Swavey; a grandson and several brothers and sisters.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
