Frank Richard (Dick) Teed

Frank Richard (Dick) Teed, 55, of Meadville, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born in Meadville July 6, 1951, a son of the late Nevin O. and Audrey U. Culver Teed, Sr.

He was a 1969 graduate of Townville High School.  He drove delivery truck for Montogomery Wards, was a chef at the Holiday Inn in Meadville and New Kensington, and later became chef at Ernies Restaurant in Conneaut Lake for over 20 years.  The last few years he was employed at Sandy's European Marketplace.

Dick enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who loved by all who knew him.  He will be sadly missed.

His nephew Gary Graves (Lisa) with the loving support of family and Hospice of Crawford County were able to care for him at his home up until the time of his death.

Survivors include a daughter, Becky Pine (Eric) of Avondale; a son, Frank Teed of Meadville; a brother, Nevin Teed (Leona Smith) of Centerville; three sisters, Meredith Book of Saegertown, Florence I. Steele of Saegertown and Sherri J. Graves (Carl R.) of Townville; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Teed and a sister, Marilyn Teed Archer.

Services were held with the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
