Fred E. Hamilton

May 16, 1881 — January 1, 1753

Fred E. Hamilton, 75, of East Mead Township, died Sunday morning at City Hospital following a long period of failing health.

A son of Eben E. and Lucy Peterman Hamilton, he resided on the farm where he was born.

He was a long-time auto salesman and part owner of the former Meadville Ford Garage.

He had served as East Mead Township tax collector for several years and was a member of Kiser Hill-Mead Grange for over 50 years.

Hamilton was a deacon of the Wayland Baptist Church and a member for 60 years.

He is survived by two sisters, Miss Ina M. Hamilton, at home and Mrs. Leslie R. Smith of East Mead Township and seven nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
