Fred E. Linton

December 16, 1903 — July 3, 1975

Fred E. Lingo, 71, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Thursday, July 3, 1975, after a long illness.

Born at Utica, Venango County, December 16, 1903, he was a son of Wesley A. and Gertrude M. Hefferman Linton.  He married Leonora Powell Davison, January 1, 1937.  In the heating business most of his life, he was the owner and operator of Kalamazoo Sales and Service from 1955 until 1973.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Richard (Rose) Davison of Meadville; two brothers, Arthur Linton of Tulsa, OK and Charles Linton of Utica; two grandchildren, Kimberly Ann and Frederick Dale Davison and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and a sister.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
