Fred G. Peck

Fred G. Peck, 73, of Versailles, PA, former Meadville resident died Wednesday at McKeesport Hospital where he had been a patient for several days.  He had been in failing health for some time.

Son of the late George and Clara Thompson Peck, he resided in the Meadville area until about 18 months ago when he and Mrs. Peck moved to Versailles, a suburb of McKeesport.

A former drayman, he also was employed by Barrett Machine Tool Co. and later operated a tourist home at the corner of Park Avenue and Baldwin Street.

He was a member of Stone Methodist Church, where he served as an usher for many years, and was a member of Junior Order, United American Mechanics.

Surviving are his widow, Ethel, and a sister, Mrs. Curtis E. Whitestone of Patterson, NJ.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
