Fred H. Kibler

March 14, 1924 — February 17, 2011

Fred H. Kibler, 86, of Jamestown, NY and formerly of Meadville, PA  Rocky Mount, NC and Tanglewood Manor, Jamestown, NY died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Heritage Park Nursing Home, Jamestown, NY.

He was born in Warren, OH March 14, 1924 a son of George F. and Jesse M. Roberts Kibler.  He married Florence Alcook, who preceded him in death April 11, 2008.

He retired as a plating engineer with Torpedo Specialty Wire, Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC after 20 years of service.  He previously had worked for Sylvania in Warren, PA and Talon, Inc. in Meadville.  He was a 1942 graduate of Meadville High School, he attended Allegheny College for three years as a chemistry major and then graduated in 1966 from Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting.  He was also a former member of the First Baptist Church of Meadville.

Survivors, include: a son, Dennis Kibler and his wife Lois of Jamestown, NY; two grandchildren, Tiffany Pattison and her husband Christopher of Rochester, NY and Jeffrey Kibler and his wife Kodi of Ballston Lake, NY  and three great grandchildren Claire and Rylan Pattison and Stella Kibler.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald Lee Kibler.

Private family services will be Monday at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA with the Rev. Gerald Walton, Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.

The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, 353 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
