Fred Terrill

January 30, 1860 — March 16, 1951

Fred Terrill, 91, of Mt. Hope, died early Friday morning at Spencer Hospital, after a short illness.

A retired farmer, he had always lived in the Mt. Hope and Guys Mills community.  He had his wife celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary April 30, last year.

In his youth, Mr. Terrill worked mill at Guys Mills.  Later he and a neighbor owned a threshing machine and chop mill together, and still later he served as a road supervisor, in a period when road improvement was a major project of his community.

Mr. Terrill is survived by his widow, the former Lucina Thompson; a son, Harley J. of Blooming Valley; seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

A sister, Mrs. Nellie Purdy of Meadville and a brother, Joseph of St. Louis also survive.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
