Freda Barth

Freda Barth, 82, a resident of United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital since October 1978, formerly of Pittsburgh, widow of Clarence Barth, died at the home Sunday, August 28, 1983, after a brief illness.

She was born in Washington County September 25, 1900, a daughter of James and Bertha Schmitt Riggle.  She married Mr. Barth December 20, 1929.  He died October 11, 1972.

In her early life, Mrs. Barth was office secretary for Beaver Valley Service Co. of Pittsburgh.  She was a member of United Methodist Church of Avalon.

Survivors include a brother, Hobart Riggle of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Services were held at the United Methodsit Home and Nursing Hospital.

Entombment was in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
